
Gate Invest invests in Precedence
With Precedence, investment fund Gate Invest expands its consultancy portfolio. Precedence is specialized in streamlining business architecture processes, management and digital transformations for leading organizations across the world.
Per September 7, 2020, Gate Invest became a shareholder of the consultancy firm. The management of Precedence will remain shareholder and also operationally involved. The management team of Precedence is led by Roy Goverde, Mark Cloesmeijer and Anouk Klinkers. They will continue to lead the company’s development in the future.

Based in Utrecht, investment fund Gate Invest was founded in 2016 by entrepreneur Paul Vermaat. The fund focuses on medium-sized companies with a clear growth perspective. As an entrepreneurial investor, the Gate Invest team expands these companies together with their entrepreneurs and management teams. Among others, Gate Invest invests in Lunch Garden, one of the best-known restaurant chains in Belgium, and FysioHolland, a The Netherland’s largest physiotherapy provider. The fund also invests in AevesBenefit, a consultancy agency in procurement, and in CAG Group, specialized in testing, inspecting and certifying water and air quality.
With its roots in Maastricht, Precedence was founded in 2009 by Roy Goverde and Mark Cloesmeijer. With around 40 employees, Precedence is active in digital transformation projects in the Netherlands and abroad, particularly in the field of process architecture, process management and process design. Amongst others, Precedence is active in the telecom sector, automotive, government, banking & finance and pharma & healthcare.
